The incident took place on Tuesday when the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a report that a student may have possessed a weapon on school grounds during an after-school program, said Capt. Richard Wilson.
The investigation, conducted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police patrol and detective divisions, included numerous interviews as well as collaboration with school officials.
"The outcome of the investigation was that no credible threat to students, faculty or staff existed," he said.
